Frankie called me Sugarplum, Madame Honeylamb, and so many other sweet monikers, they'd give you a toothache ☺️ We'd watch episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race together while he was in Texas and I in Illinois. We'd chat at the end of each one about all the drama, who had the most fabulous look on the runway, and who we thought would make it all the way to the Grand Finale. "Come THROUGH! Let's spill tea!", he'd text ⬇️

My grandmother died earlier this week. Her father was born into a Mennonite community in Indiana called the Old Order and chose to leave and move his family away when she was a baby. Despite that when she moved back to Indiana she was welcomed and treated like a revered elder. Her cousins visited her often and included her in family celebrations. This morning the Old Order conducted a graveside service for her. She would be so pleased by that.
