I mentioned in my last post that people have said my husband looks like David Tennant. It‘s not so much anymore (he‘s grown a giant beard) but more-so when he was a fresh-faced youth.

@Heideschrampf & @Johanna414 asked that I provide photograph proof 😅, so here are some old photos. And one recent pic, for good measure.

Also, speaking of my husband — & totally non-bookish things 🙈 — today is his birthday! 🎉 Happy Birthday, David Tennant!

Rating: 3.5/5

Pros: David Bradley's performance; the original theme tune; the structure and pacing resembling that of the original TV series
Cons: The Great White Hurricane felt repetitive, had a cartoony antagonist, and the NYC accents drove me nuts because they didn't sound right.

Still, your mileage may vary. And I'm willing to check out Volume 2!

Anton The American accents in Big Finish Who (and really all New Who in general) are all pretty terrible, but these were especially bad. Also, the actress voicing Susan does a weird breathy baby doll thing I am *not* a fan of. 6y

rabbitprincess @Anton I noticed that too about Susan! And I think the US accents really bothered me in this one because there were so many of them. One wonky accent is easier to handle. 6y
