Sace @Prairiegirl_reading @CrowCAH @JoScho partly it's connection to Amazon (which I have finally decided to wean myself off of) partly its clunky app and web page. I mean, have had a friend notification on the app months that won't go away. It just keeps tellinge "something went wrong" It just makes my eye twitch. And I don't really want to track books online anymore anyway. 5y
Sace Now the typos in my comment are making my eye twitch. 5y
PickingBooks @RestlessFickleBookHoarder I hear you about Amazon. My feelings are so mixed though because I love my kindle. 😕 5y
Sace @PickingBooks oh mine are too! But I think I'm just going to stop buying kindle books/magazines going forward. I'll just use Hoopla on my iPad. 5y
Sace @PickingBooks did you see the article in NYT about Amazon and counterfeit books? 5y
JSW I got fed up with them years ago due to reviewers who were either brainless or just plain mean. And many readers were just chasing free stuff or racking up numbers, not interested in bookish conversations. I like Litsy much better. 5y
Lcsmcat @RestlessFickleBookHoarder I did and it made me angry! Author‘s work so hard and their work should be protected. 5y
Sace @JSW agreed. I feel much more confident about reviews on Litsy. 5y
MaGoose I don't use Amazon unless I absolutely, positively have to. I have an article about Amazon's unfair business practices. If anyone wants a copy, just shoot me an email at jane@janecairns.com. 5y
Sace @Lcsmcat right? That's what really pushed me to finally cut the ties. It was scary to think there were counterfeit copies of medical reference books too! 5y
PickingBooks @RestlessFickleBookHoarder No! I need to go find this article! 5y
CrowCAH @RestlessFickleBookHoarder all good reasons. Hopefully, you find some other way to track your books. 5y
Sace @CrowCAH paper and pencil have been working well 🤣 5y
