Started listening to the audiobook 👍
HOW DARE YOU? WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO TOY WITH MY FEELINGS LIKE THAT??? 😵
Ok, I feel better now.
Well, I did it. I finished Obsidio - and I loved every single minute of it! This whole series is so amazing, from the unique formatting to the unforgettable characters and, of course, the incredible audiobook production. (I know, I sound like a broken record, but it's true!) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I'm in the middle of Obsidio right now and I'm loving it, but I just don't want this amazing series to end! And I am so worried that some of these brilliant characters won't survive - I mean, we're talking about Amie and Jay here, sooo... 😳 It's making me anxious. I just need my faves to be okay!

BOOKS READ IN MARCH
Favourite: Obsidio. I just loved the conclusion to the Illumimae Files and the whole series became a favourite of mine. I know I will re-read it over amd over again.
Least favourite: The Fork, the Witch and the Worm. It's still a nice book but I expected much more from it. Not much happens.
Honourable mention: Unravel Me and Ignite Me. I just freaking love this!!
Obsidio is the final book in the unique/entertaining Illuminae Files series. It wasn‘t as exciting as the first two books, but the authors did a good job of reaching a satisfying conclusion. It draws together the characters from the first two books, and introduces new ones, and I enjoyed the rapid switch between storylines. I found the series a bit too formulaic, but it sends a strong message of believing in yourself and fighting for what is right
An amazing end to an amazing ride! This has become possibly my favourite trilogy I've ever read. It definitely deserves all the hype it gets.
I loved all the characters and quickly fell in love with the new additions to the Illuminae group. What I loved most about the whole series is how all the small pieces fall into place and create a cruel but intriguing story. I already know this will be one of the books I will re-read over and over again.
I'm reading Obsidio while I wait for my kindergartner to get out of school (especially since it's so cold) and I came upon this. There may be more meaning behind this if I knew more space science stuff, but this can't be a coincidence. Hello random FF7 reference 😆 #AmReading #IlluminaeFiles #WhenNerdomsCollide #MommyBookworm
Hello! It feels like I‘ve been gone forever, but I‘m ready to dive into the #24in48 readathon tomorrow. I‘ve packed my #TBR stack with graphic novels and fast-paced sci-fi (I‘ve also got the last few books in an old favorite urban fantasy series ready to go on my iPad), and I plan to spend the whole day wrapped in blankets, reading and drinking pots of tea!
I think my manicure kind of matches my book! 😆
I had a pretty good reading weekend, despite not feeling like I got enough book time in: finished Lending A Paw and South of Superior, got in a few pages of The Mortal Word (I‘m struggling with it for some reason), and read a big chunk of this one today. Hope everyone else had a decent Monday and here‘s to a nice chill week! 😘
Loved this book. The last of the series, it did a great job of wrapping everything up in a fantastical finale that every great "ragtag group takes on fighting injustice against a giant corporation" story needs. The humor was dry and quick and witty. It gave me feels towards computer software and towards a ship for goodness sakes. That's great writing ? I recommend this trilogy!
Trying to read on the couch with my sick baby who feels the need to lay DIRECTLY ON MY FACE. Don't you know my sweet daughter? Mommy only has 40 pages left and really needs to know the ending!
A thrilling finale to The Illuminae Files trilogy! For some reason I didn‘t love this story as much as the first two. Maybe it‘s because I waited so long to pick it up? I‘m not sure, but I wasn‘t as invested in the characters and at times the story seemed to drag a bit. Overall though, I have to say it was a solid ending and I still highly recommend the series!

1 wild ride
A fitting ending
And a leftover cliffhanger to boot.
Enjoyable ... even while #audiocooking Churro French Toast and eggs for breakfast. Hey, it‘s slim pickins out in space! I needed sustenance with my morning story!
After 2 books of hard-core sci-fi terrors, the tonal shift to more human horrors of genocide/war crimes was jarring.
I feel satisfied, it all got tied up, but also emotionally manipulated. At the end, random characters were killed off just because. And the times I actually did mourn, it was immediately undone.
I wasn't invested in the new characters/romances. And everything with AIDAN irritated me, especially what happened with Kady. 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑
A stunning conclusion to an amazing series. All that I had come to expect from Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I loved the plot, and the characters, and AIDAN—like omg AIDAN. It was also nice meeting Rhys and seeing things from Beitech‘s side. I thought it had a good conclusion, especially that last chapter. Was it the best in the series? I‘m not sure. BUT it certainly wasn‘t bad at all. This is a series that everyone should give a try.🚀💫🚀
I didn't want this series to end so I put off reading the last book for ages. I finally read Obsidio recently and it was just as amazing as Illuminae and Gemina. It was another epic rollercoaster ride full of emotions, action and twists.
I still love the awesome epistolary format and badass characters and I thought the ending of this incredible series was satisfying.

What are you all planning on reading this month? I'm finally going to read Obsidio 😄 I really don't want the series to end, but I'm sure there will be rereads in the future. Might even try the audiobooks one day too 😆

Finished the 3rd and last book in The Illuminae series. Loved the series and sorry to not have another to read. All the books were outstanding! The audiobooks have some of the best narration because it is a full cast not just one person doing multiple voices. Loved the ending. I hope the authors collaborate again. 🎧💙📘
I really like this picture 💖
Here‘s my TBR for August! If you want to find out how I chose to read these books, then check out my blog post about it!
I‘m about to start reading Obsidio! I‘m excited to finally read it, but I don‘t want this series to end!!
Last year I did a bunch of reading at the beach. My routine was to read on the porch in the afternoon while the girls were resting. It was awesome! I hoped to continue that this year but NOPE!
Here is my bag of hopefuls. Something to fit all my moods. Even something I had already started! And this doesn‘t show the ton of ebooks I had been curating for about a month.
