Pickpick

This book amplifies the voices of young black women. That's a book worth reading.....even if it's not the most compelling oral histories I've ever read. Reading their stories made me feel the feels. I too lived girlhood in the 90s and found myself reflecting back on my own experiences. Some similar and others very very different from the accounts shared in this book.

That's 16 y/o me awkwardly crouching at center. Young black girls in America.
