#HelloThursday @wanderinglynn

I rarely have anything to complain about here in #Seattle (truly): we don‘t have extremes (I have MS so I can‘t handle them), it really doesn‘t rain as much as everyone thinks it does, and we have seasons.

1 45 F (high of 55 later), NO rain
2 55-75 F so symptoms don‘t flare. 80 tops or I feel crummy
3 No idea
4 Inside when it‘s rainy outside, 70 if I‘m out
5 The only season I ‘match‘ my books to is probably Fall ☺️

kamoorephoto **Atlanta, DC, and NYC see more annual rainfall than we do each year ☔️ Seattle is something like #41 on rainiest US city list. And thankfully snow mainly stays in the mountains. STAY WARM, everyone!!!! ❄️ 5y
wanderinglynn Thanks for playing! 💜 And it does rain a ridiculous amount here in DC. So I‘m excited about moving to Seattle. 😀 5y
kamoorephoto @wanderinglynn You‘re moving here???! And our summers are the best!!! Yay!! We shall have to meet! ☺️🙌🏼 5y

wanderinglynn Yep! In about 2 weeks. I‘ll be living in Bremerton & working for the Navy. I can‘t wait to meet all the PNW Littens! 😀 5y
kamoorephoto @wanderinglynn That‘s awesome! We shall have to have another PNW meetup in Seattle (or you just say when you‘re here)! @MinDea 5y
wanderinglynn Absolutely! 👍🏻👍🏻 5y

This weather is really fantastic for reading. But seriously messed up for Canada. 15° the last week of November? Wtf. 5 years ago we would have had at least 3 feet of snow by now. It's kind of scary how long summery weather is lasting the last couple years and how late it is for our winters to actually get started.

Drnkpnkprincess I‘ve been saying the same thing about where I live in AZ... usually we are in the 60s, not still tiptoeing in the 80s this late in the year. In the higher elevations we haven‘t even had our first snowfall yet 💔💔 6y
brilliantglow @Drnkpnkprincess it's kind of depressing. And I've always hated winter but this just is wrong. It's unnatural for it to be so warm. We have had one cold day and maybe 2 days with flurries. The grass is still green and healthy and some trees haven't even lost all of their leaves yet. 6y
Drnkpnkprincess Yikes! That is scary! All of a sudden winter won‘t start until mid-January and only last 7 weeks. 😳 6y

brilliantglow @Drnkpnkprincess last year we had snow from the end of January until middle/late may. Our seasons are completely changing months. It's awful. 6y
drokka I was giggling today because people in Albuquerque were complaining of the cold. It was about 12°C there. Not often London is warmer than New Mexico. ? 6y
brilliantglow Oh @drokka that's way too funny. 😂😂 6y
BookBoggart I'm in Alberta we go from plus 5 to negative 25 in a day. We also got 20cm of snow so far. Craziest weather I've had since being here. 😂 6y
brilliantglow @BookBoggart it is crazy! It's kind of scary how much the weather's changed haha thankfully here we don't have temperature swings that extreme but it's so shocking to get up in the morning and leave the house in a sweater and maybe even be a bit warm in your sweater to be freezing and wishing you had your winter gear by lunch time😂😂 6y

Actually no, it's fantastic when you're in the desert. #wtforecast

Books_Wine_Repeat We've been getting warnings of severe thunderstorms all day with zero rain. Glad you're getting some rain! 7y
saguarosally @Books_Wine_Repeat I think it's our first decent rain in about three or four months. 7y
tracyrowanreads Best time to hunker down and read. 7y

GlassAsDiamonds Also when you're in Mumbai and it hasn't rained AT ALL in nine months (not that I've got issues or anything but I do think that's the sort of thing people need to warn you about when they're trying to get you to move somewhere!!!!). 😉😉😉 7y
saguarosally @GlassAsDiamonds Nine months! That's enough to drive a person mad! 7y
saguarosally @tracyrowanreads Or run outside in it. 7y
tracyrowanreads @saguarosally I'd enjoy that so long as it wasn't painfully hard. I wish we could get more rain in the city. It all went north and the burbs are horribly flooded. 7y
saguarosally @tracyrowanreads oh certainly flooding is a bad thing. 7y
tracyrowanreads @saguarosally Alas, so is the drought-ish weather we've been hit with so often in the past few years. There was a long stretch, possibly a month, a few years ago, when there was no rain in the city at all, and you could feel people going slowly and quietly mad, not knowing why they felt so crawly and wrong. 7y
GlassAsDiamonds It is!!! 😭😭😭 (such a weird sensation, it's almost like time stands still. I do not recommend it!). 7y
