My how this field guide has changed over the years. The edition on the left is one of the first versions and it is undated. The one on the right is the most recent. It is from 2002. It is going to replace the one that was borrowed and never brought back to the growers library that I help to curate. Whenever I can find newer editions I snag them. This is a popular book that often get borrowed to infinity. It means that it is being used. 🦋🐛

This was a reread. If first read it years ago. The cover is from the first edition. This book has gone through many changes over the years due to the way the environment is rapidly changing on this planet. Here is my gr link: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3069219190

For today's #SizzlinSummerBooks photo challenge, I decided to go with my non-fiction #bug books and set them amongst my bug-damaged hardy geraniums. The leaves look like 💩, but they are still blooming OK🌸🌸🌸 I do a lot of gardening so these books come in handy👩🏻‍🌾🐝🐛🕷🐜🐞🦋 When we were kids, we had a whole bunch of these little Golden Guides. I still love them.
