P.S. I Still Love You (Reprint)
P.S. I Still Love You (Reprint) | Jenny Han
Given the way love turned her heart in the New York Times bestselling To All The Boys I've Loved Before, which School Library Journal called a "lovely, lighthearted romance," it's no surprise that Laura Jean still has letters to write. Lara Jean didn't expect to really fall for Peter. She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren't. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean's feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once? In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I've Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that's part of what makes it so amazing.

4/5 ⭐️s. While I still thought this was a cute read, I much prefer the first book to this one. All the drama and secrecy with Genevieve frustrated me. And Kitty is a spoiled little brat. Even with these annoyances there were some really cute moments and I'm glad I'm continuing with the series.

Catsandbooks Also John Ambrose treated LJ with way more respect than Peter did. I would have liked to see their relationship/flirtation play out a little more. 3w

1. Tagged! I loved the first book.
2. Not much. Probably reading and baking.
3. I'll take any ice cream but one of my favorites is Ben and Jerry's strawberry cheesecake. 🍓
4. I know how to press play on my phone 😂
5. Done 😊

I was reluctant to pick this up because of a break up. As soon as I picked this up I couldn't believe I didn't pick this up sooner. Lara Jean and Peter is exactly what I needed. I giggled so much throughout this book that it was hilarious. This was a great sequel to the first one. Lara Jean is truly the most relatable character ever. She is innocent crafty and likes the idea of love just like me.

Perfect Friday morning read. I had to go back and read a plot summary of the first book because it took me so long to get off the library waitlist. Continued story of Lara Jean‘s high school romance. I‘m a total sucker for this genre whether it is in book or movie form and these are especially well-done.

I fell in love with Lara Jean and Peter K‘s story after watching the #Netflix adaption of TATB. And just when I thought there couldn‘t be a better pairing than LJ and Peter K, along comes John Ambrose McLaren 😝. A must if you‘re a fan of TATB!

"There‘s a Korean word my grandma taught me. It‘s called jung. It‘s the connection between two people that can‘t be severed, even when love turns to hate. You still have those old feelings for them; you can‘t ever completely shake them loose of you; you will always have tenderness in your heart for them."

A pretty good book, 3 stars from me..although I love this quote!
These almost seem like middle school books and not YA.

I ordered myself a new Kindle for Mother's day so to get back into the swing of reading now that the semester is winding down (and finals are starting to come in!) I have more free time to get back to my books.

Starting with this one that's been on my TBR for awhile now. I didn't realize how much I missed the Covey family ❤

Happy reading! 📚📚📚

#BeatleMaynia Day 6: Let It Be

So I finished the first book and just couldn't let it be, I just had to start book 2! Although, book 1 ends on such a cliffhanger, what else is a reader to do?

Eggs Great choice! Yes I read all 3 back to back-couldn‘t stop. There‘s another JH trilogy too, and I liked it as much as this one 5mo
MidnightBookGirl @Eggs I do have The Summer I Turned Pretty! Plus I just watched the Netflix movie, which was cute, but I like the books a more.

Finished last night and loved it. Was kind of expecting a few bumps in the road but it didn‘t take away from the story. There is a little bit of drama but I don‘t mind it too much. Looking forward to the last book for this trilogy.

This is how I imagine Lara Jean‘s reading set up.

This book is fun but Lara Jean is so angsty, it kind of throws me off. I found myself thinking, “You are too young for love!” And then remembering I met my husband at 16. 😂

A sweet sequel to To All the Boys I‘ve Loved Before. It dragged a little with all of the heartbreak and moping but then picked up again later on when John Ambrose McClaren steps in.

This book has to be my favorite I've read this year so far. I just cannot believe Lara Jean. Why did she have to kiss Jhon Ambrose? What was the point? I LOVE how jealous Peter was though when he was giving back Lara Jean's necklace. But, WHY DID HE TAKE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE?? Like boi-

Oh teenage angst! Really takes me back to the days of high school and being the typical high school girl only worried about who, what, where and why the boyfriend is, whatever...
Lara Jean discovers herself in this book a little more and I really have hope that she will flourish with her new found confidence and all-in love. This is such a cute, sweet love story and just enough bad luck to keep it interesting and quite entertaining.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The first book was decent, but after swooning over the adorable Netflix adaptation, I had to jump immediately into P.S. I Still Love You. I couldn‘t even wait for my library hold. I needed it NOW. I think Han became more comfortable with her young characters here. At the core, this is a YA love story, but Han also thoughtfully tackles familial relationships, friendships, change, growth, and that pesky ol‘ social media.

silentrequiem I really should read this series. I read the first book in her other series and nearly DNFed it. Sounds like this series is better. 6mo
britt_brooke @silentrequiem I haven‘t read her other series, but it did take me a while to get into the first book of this one. Once I was hooked, I was all in, though! I will finish book 3 this evening. (edited) 6mo

britt_brooke @LibrarianJen I‘m almost finished with the series and books 2 and 3 are definitely better than the first one. 6mo
Megabooks Great review! I had kind of written this series off as more “typical YA romance”. You make it sound better than that. Is it? 6mo
britt_brooke @Megabooks Yes, I think so. I finished the series last nigh. Books 2 and 3 are better than the first, IMO, so keep that in mind if you decide to check them out. 6mo

I listened to the audio of this second one in the series. I feel like I want to get a print version just to count the number of times she says the three-part names of John and the dog. Good god it‘s a lot!! I found LJ slightly more annoying in this one, but could be due to the narrator since I read the first one on my Kindle. I‘ll def still read the third one. These take me right back to middle/high school loves 💕

I am really loving this series. I don't know what to feel at the end of this one. I was really rooting for John there for a minute. I'm almost mad that Han made me feel anything but pure hatred for Gen 😆 Also can we please get a Lara Jean cookbook? I need that in my life. I would go broke so fast making all her treats. Looking forward to finding out how this story ends.

I liked the first book, 'To All The Boys I've Loved Before,' but I'm probably in the minority when I say when it comes to the Lara Jean and Peter pairing I'm on team 'Wish They Never Happened.' Sorry not sorry? I wasn't rooting for Josh either. I don't know what it is about the couple but I'm not on board, just bored, so I didn't enjoy this book so much. I still want to know how this ends, so I will be reading the last book of the trilogy:)

Peter Kavinsky has some competition! I am loving this trilogy. It's easy to read but not shallow. I relate to Lara Jean a lot (I still feel like her now at 27 years old 😆) which has made it that much more enjoyable. Theres still a few people ahead of me on the waitlist for the third book so I will wait (im)patiently to find out how the story ends!
