This was an interesting collection of South American folk tales which I had not encountered before. For the most part there was a framing narrative of a traveler sharing where they came across the tales although that was not present for every tale.

Getting in some pre work reading with Sierra today. Hopefully I‘ll be able to finish this one today. I was excited to get to the story with the cover illustration.

The best part of my hotel room this weekend is the very comfortable reading nook. I walked over 10k steps before noon today so it‘s time to take a good long reading break.

I managed to finish three books this week which amazes me because I started a new job this week as well.
#WeeklyForecast
My goal for this week is to finish one of my current reads if not both. When I finish those it‘s on to my current library book that just came in.
Started both of these today at my volunteer job working in the bookstore at the library. The tagged is short stories and China Mountain Zhang is a mosaic novel so they kind of go together.
Loved this book! The author recorded these stories during his travels in South America. Some of them were pretty intense. I tend to get bored by the traditional fairy tales, but these were great! #NewberyEpicChallenge #AtoZLitsy (Letter T) #MiddleGradeMarch
