Mehso-so

This is a good look at vintage marvel comics. However the writing of the female characters and the way that the male characters behave around them is enough to only rate it a so so.

CampbellTaraL It's so hard to appreciate earlier works because of the way they treat women and marginalized groups. Yeah, it may have been a big influence at the time, but I can't celebrate it's efforts when there's a glaring problem that is not acceptable today. 6y
Maewyn What was interesting to me was that my male friend seemed shocked by my reaction. Clearly he didn't remember ever thinking anything was wrong with the depiction which means to him it was truly okay whenever he read it last. 6y
