alisiakae I have an 11 year old who reads at an adult level but also loves books written for her age...the struggle is real! She goes through books so quickly! We do a mom-daughter book club in the summer and she always finishes before me. 5y

SmartSassery @4thhouseontheleft Hahaha. Yes! We got The Daughter of the Pirate King series. She's been long finished but I'm still working on the first. Book bub has been what's saved me. So many free and discounted ebooks. She didn't like ebooks at first, but then realized she could get more. lol 5y

SmartSassery Right! I'm very jealous. (Those aren't the adult ones.) I've moved her to teen and adult so she doesn't do that. I can't afford a book a day. 😂 5y

Sitting at the library while the kids read comics and talk to a classmate. A lot of younger kids around and some elementary age kids doing homework. An boy who looks about 11/12 plonks his bag down at the same table and wanders off. Then he returns with this stack of books and wanders off again to the shelves. A sight like that makes me feel that all is right with the kids today (or at least this kid).
