I almost forgot to make a post about this one!

It‘s wonderful stuff though. I totally ate it up, loving her languorous, quirky style. It‘s completely original, cool, and invigorating. I love the confidence she writes with, and it actually made me view poetry differently.

It‘s also a good thing to read translated work, at least once in a while. Highly recommended.

Chika Sagawa is Japan's first female Modernist poet, according to the intro. She died in 1936. Many of her poems are influenced by Imagism & are sharp, melancholy, and wise. The O'Connor book is my sister's from her time at university. I stole it from her & she doesn't know & she's not on Litsy so she'll never know. If you don't realise that Flannery is missing, WELL, there's nothing to say.

JazzFeathers The O'Conner one is awesome. And can books really been stolen? I think the naturally float toward their intended owner. It's karma 😜 7y
