Therapy Dogs | Kathy Diamond Davis

Not book related but I wanted to share that I got my dog certified as a Therapy Dog. Now that she‘s certified we are going to look into the READ program, where kids read to therapy dogs to help increase confidence and literacy.

Another perk of where I teach- our resident therapy dog, Campbell. I really believe she helps the teachers as much as the kids. ❤️

AmberWB @JoScho I have been saying for years that every school should have at least one dog. One of our counselors owns Campbell and had her certified as a therapy dog and just started bringing her in this year. It is amazing the effect she has - some of the toughest high school kids just melt when they see her. I wish we could have multiple dogs in the building. 6y
