pickAn good start but left me wanting more. Great hook - a protagonist who wakes up and has lots of feelings but few memories. Variety of characters - different personalities to relate to. Plot didn't move much beyond introducing the characters and geography of the setting. Luckily, I have book 2 to read right away. (90s cartoon fans - this is illustrated by the creator of Invader Zim!)
pickCrimson has just woken to the undead. She has no idea who she is or where she comes from. She makes friends easily and is not frightened by the darkness around her. She meets ghosts, sea creatures and even vampires and werewolves. She is happy in her new life, if only she knew where she came from. An interesting tale. The characters are fun, is illustrations vibrant for the undead, and overall a joy to read.
I was planning to go out for breakfast and to find a writing nook, but I started reading this and now everything is on hold until I finish. #netgalley
