The Mighty Franks: A Memoir | Michael Frank

A story at once extremely strange and entirely familiar about families, innocence, art and love. This hugely enjoyable, totally unforgettable memoir is a classic in the making.

Started this one for my nonfiction class last night and I'm tearing through it! Halfway done and it reads like a reality show is playing in my head.

Reviewsbylola I‘ve been so curious about this one! 6y

This memoir is a must-read for folks who love a dysfunctional family story. Frank describes his family: a brother and sister who married a sister and brother; one couple had three boys, the other remained childless; the two households lived within 3 miles of each other and the two grandmothers. The author's childless aunt imprinted upon young Michael and madness ensued. You'll need a DSM to keep up with all of her crazy! #netgalley

Well-ReadNeck @Chrissyreadit Writing was just ok and Slow in places. I think crazy reality TV (and the news) may have spoiled dysfunctional family stories for me. (edited) 7y
