Parenting: Illustrated with Crappy Pictures
Parenting: Illustrated with Crappy Pictures | Amber Dusick
6 posts | 8 read | 5 to read
"The drawings aren't very good, Mama." Crappy Boy, age 5 Of course you love being a parent. But sometimes, it just sucks. I know. I'm Amber Dusick and I started my blog Parenting: Illustrated with Crappy Pictures because I needed a place to vent about the funny (and frustrating) day-to-day things that happened to me as a parent. Turns out, poop is hilarious! At least when you're not the one wiping it up. This book won't make your frustrating moments any less crappy. But these stories about my Crappy Baby, Crappy Boy and my husband, Crappy Papa, will hopefully make you laugh. Because you're not alone. And sometimes the crappiest moments make the best memories. Parenting is wonderful! And also, well, you know. "

Omg I just read this in less than 45 minutes while Jace is napping next to me and I‘m highly surprised I didn‘t wake him up with my laughter! This part here 👆🏻had me laughing so hard I had tears running down my face! 😅 This book is very relatable and I would highly recommend it for when you‘re in the mood to laugh. 4⭐️

I got this because I had heard comparisons to Hyperbole and a Half, which I love. It was okay. There were some really funny parts, and some mediocre parts. The art is funny and adds to the text. If it were longer, it might not be worth it because the hilarious parts were too far apart, but since it is such a quick read, it is a fun distraction.

LOLOLOL. 😂😂😂😂
They're on a road trip, and they don't want to wake the sleeping kids, so the mom holds a diaper for the dad to pee in. 😂😂🤢

Cajoled the children into napping/quiet reading. Now it's time for mom's quiet time. And I better be REALLY QUIET with the chocolate wrapper. My 7yo can somehow magically hear wrappers crinkle from 3 rooms away. 🙄

Bks4Wrms Good book! 7y
Smangela 😂😂 I‘ve started to have to share my food with my 10 month old and I know it‘s just the beginning! I‘ll be hiding in a closet eating a candy bar 😂 7y

Been ☀️ here today and it's finally cooling down. It's been an "interesting" day parenting hot, tired kids... ?

Caroline2 Same here! Both of mine were rather hot and bothered today and had several melt downs!! 🙄 I'm now on the 🍷 and 📚 😂 7y
elliemcc11 Mine had major meltdowns in B&M (wouldn't buy him a Postman Pat toy) and the other had one in Tesco when the free fruit (orange) dripped down her chin and made her hands sticky...😣 then they just had less major ones about cherries, loo paper, crayons, soil etc etc...basically all day 😟 I'm now eating battenburg cake! 🙈 7y
