Bad Blood: (The Naturals #4) | Jennifer Lynn Barnes
24 posts | 39 read | 1 reading | 9 to read
When Cassie Hobbes joined the FBI's Naturals program, she had one goal: uncover the truth about her mother's murder. But now, everything Cassie thought she knew about what happened that night has been called into question. Her mother is alive, and the people holding her captive are more powerfuland dangerousthan anything the Naturals have faced so far. As Cassie and the team work to uncover the secrets of a group that has been killing in secret for generations, they find themselves racing a ticking clock. New victims. New betrayals. New secrets. When the bodies begin piling up, it soon becomes apparent that this time, the Naturals aren't just hunting serial killers. They're being hunted.

One of my current reads is book 4 of The Naturals series. This book & the series have chapters from the #VillainPOV & also the teenage/YA profilers working with the FBI get in the heads of both the victims & the killers to look at crime scenes from their points of view.

Eggs Fascinating 👏🏻👏🏻 4d

This #chunkster is the PERFECT ending for this series. I highly recommend all four books. The pacing, character and storyline all blend into a binge worthy series read. #bookspin @thearomaofbooks

𝟒.𝟕𝟓⭐
Everything comes full circle in this (original) final book in the series…eventually, JLB writes a novella that takes place after this book and it completely sets it up for the series to continue. Which I hope it does. Despite being YA, this is a great series, even for adults. If you like profiling type of content and can deal with some young adults being “young” sometimes…then I highly recommend it.

This finale in the Naturals series was such an emotional roller coaster. It links all the books together in a surprising way as well as continuing right from where book 3 ended. The plot was fascinating and though I wasn't keen on the story of a cult it worked well. We finally find out things and get answers for questions since book 1. The last quarter was mind blowing and I loved the happy-ish ending. Definitely a YA Criminal Minds which I adored

This final installment wraps the series up nicely. I'm sad that it's over, but now maybe I can finally get some sleep! Barnes is a master of creating tension and suspense k as the events teased throughout the series finally come to fruition. The stakes are high - not just because they're life or death, but because it feels like you've come to know the characters and are invested in their fates. An emotional rollercoaster!

AudiobookingWithLeah There is a novella-length book that is called Twelve and is part of the series (it's book #4.5) It was pretty good too. 3y

This series fell off my radar and I never finished it, but I stumbled upon it on hoopla this week. Two books (and a novella) later, I think the series held up throughout and I'm reading more by Barnes.

Anyone else excited for #24in48 and making a stack? I only have one graphic novel this time around but lots of short MG books, hoping to get through as much of this pile as possible! See any you love? #readathon

A high-octane, satisfying ending to a well-crafted series. Seeing Michael‘s world was intriguing, though I was thrown by the last-minute intro of Celene. Cassie was a great narrator as always, & the plot was really fun. One twist I was totally blindsided by, while the other was a teeny bit predictable. The writing, though, was thoroughly enjoyable. If you‘re into dark, psychological thrillers, this series should definitely be on your list! ★★★★☆.

MarriedtoMrT I still need to read this one. I‘ve read the rest and I love her writing so I don‘t know why I haven‘t gotten into this one yet. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 5y
Sharanya @MarriedtoMrT it‘s really good!! 5y

Started out a little slower for me than the previous books in this series, but I was soon caught up in the whirlwind that is The Naturals. So sad this series is over! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow! Amazing ending to this terrific series. Darker than the previous books but that was necessary to pull everything together. Amazing twists I didn't see coming.

Calling this a pick because I've so enjoyed this series and the first 95% of this book was on point and compelling. The last 5% aka the ending was not what I would have expected or wanted and did not enjoy. If you read it we can discuss below in spoiler-blocked comments, but the Tl;dr is if you read the other 3 books you must read this one. Just brace yourself for an ending you might not appreciate.

MarriedtoMrT Bracing myself. I wasn't in love with the last in the series I read so was trying to keep expectations in check. Also, I've always disliked the love triangle. 7y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag My library doesn't have this yet but I convinced them to order it - so shall be reading as soon as it arrives! 7y
Carol @MarriedtoMrT it becomes less of a triangle as the series progresses to the point of being nonexistent in this book. I hated that too!!!! 7y
MarriedtoMrT @Carol Good to know it's gone! 7y

Sorry I've been so absent, Littens. October always sucks the life out of me and I get sick and then everything gets busy again and now I'm finally getting time to get back into everything.

I have missed you! Leave me a comment with what I've missed the last 3 weeks!

Currently in bed reading the last book in one of my favorite series. I'm trying to make it last but I am compelled to read quicker to find out what happens to my Naturals.

LeahBergen Let's see ... you missed a bunch of spooky October picks! 😬 7y

GlitteryOtters You missed some beautiful autumn pics, fun spooky reads, and me proving that my book lust outweighs my common sense when I bought 40 books during the recent book outlet.com sale 😂😂 (in my defense, they averaged $4 each, including shipping, and included many books which had been on my TBR list for a while) 7y
Gleefulreader I'm sorry you've been unwell, but glad you are back. And you've missed the incredibly uplifting support by this community throughout the election. The Litsy folks have been amazing! 7y
