Definitely in need of comfort reads right now. Some of mine are The Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Psalms, The Wind in the Willows & The Great Good Thing. What are some of yours?

Working on my “overwhelmed with too much reading” slump! I finished this one for book club. While it‘s a sweet little children‘s book, I was a little disappointed—it wasn‘t as good as I remember it being on my first read! Now on to #LOTRchapteraday, which looks short... so maybe I‘ll even have the momentum afterward for some Robert Jordan...

TricksyTails Yay! 👏😁 Great job getting through your slump! 6y
BarbaraJean @TricksyTails Not out of it yet, but working through it!! 😏 6y

Dear Litsy, thank you so very much for your outpouring of love & support. For those who haven't heard, last weekend my house burned down and we lost everything. Thankfully everyone made it out in time & we've been taken in by family. This week has been most humbling & I'm intensely grateful for my generous bookish community. Thank you. This is the only book I own at the moment, gifted by a friend. I've not read it yet, but I'm excited to dive in.

goodbyefrancie So sorry to hear. I have been through that twice, and I know how helpless I felt at those times. I'm glad you have supportive friends and family to lean on. 7y
ApoptyGina69 I did not hear about that! Thankful you are ok, but my god, I can't even imagine what you are feeling. In addition to positive thoughts and prayers, what can I send you? Clothes? Music? Books? Anything I can do to help... 💞 7y
Clare-Dragonfly Oh no, that's so awful! I'm glad you and your family are safe 7y

TirzahPrice Thank you, all! You're very kind and I so appreciate the love. I'm slowly shopping and replacing stuff, but my challenge right now is not having anywhere to put stuff! Hopefully this week or next I'll be moving into a rental while we rebuild! 7y
