#OldCoolBooks It's just a tattered cookbook. But it gives us a glimpse into a life lived in the early 1900s. There are numerous clippings of "new" recipes to be tried, a scorecard from a game of bridge with a recipe for war cookies scribbled on the back, a needle slipped under a pasted on how-to article, a menu for Thanksgiving 1927 & revised for 29, a pressed leaf, ribbons in the section-hints for the young housekeeper. #Glimpseintothepast @Linsy

Another literary love of mine - old cookbooks. They're treasures, especially the one I have with handwritten recipes that dates from the early 1900s. Pictured here is a small part of the collection, with my husband's great grandmother's Fiesta.
