pickAn epistolary novel about falling in love, and the fallout after the loss of that love. There was a (curmudgeonly) part of me that was skeptical of another book about White Guys Moaning, but it was beautifully and delicately written. I do wish we would have had alternating perspectives; I'd love to have seen some things from the point of view of the MC's partner. But overall, still a pick for me for its intimacy and quiet candor.
