This cookbook is the kind of cookbook I love. It has lots of great explanations about dishes and ingredients, along with their geographic connections. It also has gorgeous photos of Myanmar throughout, and a history chapter in the back. The recipes are delicious and some are now in regular rotation at our house. I renewed it twice and didn't want to return it. #litsycooks #cookbooks

We have another winner from the Burma cookbook! Mix the spices above together to make a paste (the book uses 1 T fresh minced ginger & 2-4 dried red chiles), then add the water. Use the paste to coat your meat (chicken or pork is good), then cook. Sprinkle with scallions or coriander. It's very yummy. #litsycooks #cookbooks

Here is my latest library cookbook. It's time to visit Burma! We tried this recipe tonight and it was great for a cold winter evening. I can't wait to try some others from this book. #litsycooks #cookbooks
