Our #library chicks go back to the farm tomorrow! They‘re just over a week old, so it will be a few more months before they look anything like the chickens in this book, but it‘s amazing how fast they grow. Incubating and hatching the eggs was a fantastic experience for me, my staff, and the library patrons, but I‘m beginning to commiserate with this book. I‘m ready to get back to other aspects of being a children‘s librarian!
