I don‘t have my book with me, so I have to use an old collage of some very pretty illustrations by Kay Nielsen, but my favourite is the bottom right one. It is so dark and eerie, but utterly beautiful as well! But, tbh, they are all gorgeous, really 😍

It is hard to do the beautiful illustrations justice in photos, but maybe this can give you an idea of how they look @Heideschrampf . I could have photographed every single illustration, they are all so pretty. But these are probably my faves. At least for today 😄

Kalalalatja @BethM my edition is from Taschen, but it is illustrated by Kay Nielsen, the tales are collected and written down by Asbjørnsen and Moe, and then it is edited by a Noel Daniels ? 6y

I loved this, plain and simple. It is filled with the most stunning illustrations I have ever seen, and the fairytales themselves are amazing. They aren‘t filled with a lot of religious moralizing, which I really appreciated. Instead, they were filled with trolls, boys called Halvor, pretty princesses and a lot of animals 👌

Tsubame I remember holding this in my hands when I visited Germany last winter and was sooo tempted, but at that time I was still heavily into Greek myths, so they won - unfortunately I had my luggage weight to consider as well as my budget 🙈 7y

My newest #addiction is preordering books when I can't really afford to buy them. I don't limit myself to the preordered book, oh no, I order already released books with my preorders. That way, all of the books will first be delivered when the preorders are released. More importantly, I won't have to pay until the books are sent! These are the books I'm currently waiting on.

I can't figure out if I'm doing adulting right or not 😂
