Mehso-so

I can‘t pan this because there were two stories I enjoyed, “The Time-Slip Detective” by Lavie Tidhar and “Swirl” by Silje Beking. I loved “Swirl”. The rest did not work for me at all beyond fulfilling challenge prompts: #Israel #ReadingAsia2021 and Jewish MC or author for #booked2021

Librarybelle Hooray for checking off two challenge prompts! 3y
Cinfhen Etgar Keret is usually a GREAT writer but I know anthologies can be a total hit & miss 3y
DGRachel @Cinfhen This is going to sound super weird, but I think I was most disappointed because most of the noir I read and enjoy is more murder-centric and so many of these stories were prostitution-focused. So, too much sex, not enough death. 🤣🤣 3y
Cinfhen Hahaha!!! I love that assessment 😂😂😂 3y
BarbaraBB You‘re doing so well in the challenge, despite some real bummers! 3y

Pickpick

Mostly this was a pick for me but I always find collections to be a mixed bag. I also am not a big crime fiction reader so others may have more discerning tastes.
